A brief history of Ashmore Palms Holiday Village

The current owners of Ashmore Palms Holiday Village purchased the property in April 1986. At that time, the establishment was known as Ashmore Caravan Park, which consisted of 200 caravan sites of which very few were occupied. It had virtually none of the many facilities, trees and landscaping that can be seen today.

Gradually, the family owned company introduced a range of cabins to cater to different tastes, requirements and budgets. New facilities were built and others renovated, gardens were established, thousands of palm trees were planted and exotic bird displays introduced.

Ten years later, in July 1996, Ashmore Caravan Park's name was changed to reflect it's holiday accommodation and unique flora and fauna setting. Hence, "Ashmore Palms Holiday Village" was born. The images below were taken in the mid 1990s.
